DeCasa is a marketplace that connects local home cooks, bakers, and small food businesses with buyers nearby. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.

What we collect

• Account info: name, email, phone number, and password (stored encrypted).
• Seller info: if you sell on DeCasa, your store details and what's needed to pay you.
• What you post: listings, photos, messages, and reviews.
• Orders: what was bought or sold, when, and for how much.
• Device and usage info: device type, app version, and how you use the app, so we can fix bugs and improve it.

Why we collect it

To run your account, process orders and payments, connect buyers with sellers nearby, help when something goes wrong, and keep the platform safe and working well.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share only what's needed: the other person in an order (e.g. a buyer's delivery info with the seller fulfilling it), the payment provider that processes your payment, and service providers that help us run DeCasa (hosting, analytics, error tracking). We may be required to share information with authorities if the law requires it.

How we keep it safe

Passwords are encrypted, connections use HTTPS, and access to your data is limited to people who need it to do their job.

Your rights

You can ask what we have on you, correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data. Email support@decasa.ca for any of these.

Children

DeCasa is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect.
